Week Ending 20th April 2010

Steve Bringloe from Saltburn on his first visit landed a personal best of 12lb 12oz on a black spider (photo below).

Slow twitching back has been a successful method even though a difficult method to use. The weather conditions are still up and down so the trout are up in the water and down in the water causing tricky fly-fishing at the moment.

The black gnat is still the dominant fly along with pheasant tale and small nymphs.
