The Fish

I myself have fished at Stonebridge since it first opened and although the fishing could be challenging at times the one thing that kept me going back was simply the quality of their fish, like most of you I fish all over the country and at some venues I could catch plenty of trout but they didn't give a good fight, had raggy tails and poor colouring. This was never the case at Stonebridge, the fish were always in fantastic condition, well muscled and great tails, and they went like stink, the type of fish that you would expect from Rutland or Gratham water.

This for me was fishing and if you got it right there was no doubt about it you were in for an arm wrenching red letter day to remember. When I came on board with the Stonebridge team the first bit of input I gave to Richard was that he must secure the previous fish supplier. Richard agreed with me but stated he had already started this ball rolling due to the tremendous amount of feedback from the local anglers, (they can't all be wrong, ha ha)

So Fish man (Bob) came over to see us at Stonebridge and our future was secured. Bobs fish are second to none and are always in pristine condition however I personally carry out the weekly stocking to doubly check the fish. Also our fish are not dumped in at one end of the lake; our team makes the effort to distribute the fish equally across the entire lake(s) with us getting into the water to release them carefully. We currently stock Rainbows and Browns; we also have many Blue Trout on order.
